The Guns

Carol asks Ezekiel if he has ever fought before. He says that she has seen him fight. He says he has trained for a long time. He has practiced and he’s ready to become a fighter. He was a zookeeper before. He was weak. Then a 500 pound tiger needed him. He weighed the risk of helping her, but he stopped to consider who he was either way, and he decided he wanted to be the one leapt inside. He has made a decision to be a leader. He asks if it was easier for her, or if she decided to be the way she is today. She says she decided, just like he did.

Back in the moment, Ezekiel fights at the gate as his people close in, and soon they’re mowed down by a spray of bullets. Carol is there with the keys as the truck drives off with the guns. She opens the gate and Jerry grabs the King. They go in and the sound of a motorcycle is in the air. Carol says they won’t get them to the Sanctuary.

Daryl races down the highway with Rick behind him. The Saviors realize they’re being followed and the bald guy opens his truck and starts firing. Daryl spins out but Rick stays on them. Soon they run into Walkers so the gunman is thrown off. When Daryl rejoins the fight he shoots the gunman and Rick is able to pull alongside the truck and stop it. The truck runs off the road. Daryl rides up and checks on Rick. The truck is on its side, but Rick had jumped out before it crashed. They look at each other, and then at the truck. They got the guns. “You look like shit,” Daryl notes.
