The Walking Dead 805 recap: ‘The Big Scary U’

Negan and Gabriel are bloody and they start making noise to cause a distraction. The doors open and Walkers flood in so they slip out, unnoticed. There are old Walkers along with newly turned ones. Gabriel grips his gun as they walk through the herd. He slips and the Walkers start to notice them so Negan fights them off. Gabriel fights them off of him but their exit is blocked.

Gavin says his outposts are late for deliveries. The workers start coming up the stairs and Simon tells them that they are supposed to stay on the ground levels. Gavin mutters “Jesus Christ” again. They say it’s too hot downstairs and they need power. Simon starts to antagonize the workers and Dwight gets in the middle. The workers say that they were promised protection and they don’t see it. They want to know if Negan is dead. Simon is about to kill a woman when Regina shoots people, claiming she’s Negan. That’s when the whistling starts. Negan and Gabriel walk down the hallway.

Negan knows Regina shot the workers. Negan reminds them that he’s not dying until he’s ready. He needs a shower and a massage. He needs to talk to his right-hand man, Simon, to figure out how all of this happened. Then they will go back to saving people. A woman yells out “Thank you, Negan. Thank God for you.” He tells his people to take Gabriel “gently” to cell two.
