Which one character stood out the most from season 8 episode 5 of The Walking Dead titled ‘The Big Scary U’ on November 19, 2017 and deserves to be the MVP?

The Walking Dead once again shifted gears for the fifth episode of season 8 by giving viewers a look inside The Sanctuary both before and after the assault on Negan’s home by Alexandria, The Hilltop, and The Kingdom.

Still, there were some interesting characters at play during this episode and several individuals saw their stock go up or down as they dealt with the threats from the other communities and prepared to fight for their survival.

One character stood out more than the others in ‘The Big Scary U’ and deserves to be called the Most Valuable Person from the episode. After thinking about it for a while, a decision has been made.

THE MVP FROM TWD 805 IS NEGAN

Wait a second. This can’t be right. The big villain known for bashing the skulls of those who defy him is our MVP for this week?

Negan truly does deserve to be the MVP this week for several reasons. The first of which is that he didn’t kill Father Gabriel on the spot. Instead, he opened a dialogue to create some understanding between the two and find some common ground.

Next, he explained that he doesn’t kill just to kill. His leadership is meant to put fear into people through intimidation, not murder. Sure, people may have to die to get the point across, but he sees that as their issue for stepping in the way and forcing him to do what he needs to do.

He even saved Father Gabriel on a couple of other occasions when they were making their way out of the trailer back inside The Sanctuary and brought him inside to show him what things were really like,

Finally, he broke up what appeared to be an uprising by the workers against the management. All it took was Negan whistling and appearing for everyone to fall back into line and stop their arguing and fighting.

As a bonus, we even got a look into Negan’s past, with him opening up about his occupation before the zombie apocalypse, his late wife, and whether or not he thought he was a good person before the world went to hell.

Next: Was TWD 805 any good?
