#2. What will Maggie do with the hostages?

Last week, Jesus brought a bunch of Negan’s men from an outpost of The Saviors back to The Hilltop because he didn’t feel justified in killing so many people despite his orders to do just that to every member of their army.

This put Maggie in a rough spot. She was left with the decision of either killing them, letting them go, or holding them hostage. After some deliberation, she finally made a decision that could turn the tide of the war.

Maggie made the call to build a holding cell for The Saviors in order to keep them separate from the people of the community, yet hold on to them as valuable bargaining tools in case they need to make a trade for some of their own people.

But it wasn’t just The Saviors who went into the holding pen. Maggie also made the call to put Gregory in there since he couldn’t be trusted and recently put everyone in a bad situation by giving The Saviors his word that The Hilltop would fight beside Negan instead of against him.
