The Walking Dead 807 recap: ‘Time For After’

Giggle Juice

Eugene gets a visit from Tanya, who wants her boom box back. He says it isn’t fixed because they are in the middle of a trap but she says they were in a trap already. He asks for another day and the bottle of wine because he can’t sleep without his “giggle juice.” She says she gets it and she needs help sleeping too. She knows he feels bad working with Negan and reminds him that they offered him a way out but he only took care of his own needs. The wine won’t help. As she leaves, he hears that Negan wants to see him.

Tara says their people will be on the way soon. They want to drive the truck into the building to release the Walkers inside and kill the Saviors. The workers can get out the other side. Morgan comes up and says that he and the snipers are with them. Daryl says that they don’t have the numbers again but that’s why Rick is going to get the Scavengers to fight with them. Tara says that she waited to reveal the information about Oceanside. Rosita says she’s out. Morgan offers her a car to take home. Rosita asks Michonne if she is going to be a part of this and says that sometimes you have to wait to get what you want. She wishes she hadn’t waited to see Sasha in the coffin to figure that out.

Negan is waiting for Eugene, who tells him that if things aren’t working then a lot of people are going to die. He doesn’t want his people to die and he doesn’t want Eugene to be eaten, either. Negan says that the Sanctuary is all about using people’s strengths, and in Eugene’s case his brain is strong and Negan knows that. Eugene says they are on the same page, completely. Negan offers his hand and Eugene bends in to kiss it but Negan wants a handshake. They shake hands because Negan says that’s a sign of respect. Eugene says he has to get to work.
