1) This episode begins with Rick, Maggie, and Carol recapping the events of the first assault against The Saviors as they, apparently, read letters (Presumably from one another). While what the three are reading (Particularly Rick) are almost certainly not letters, it does beg the question: When are these recaps occurring?

2) When Rick arrives at the junkyard, Jadis is, apparently, in the midst of vastly improving the cat wire sculpture. You may recall she demanded the sculpture back (In its original form) from Michonne in Season Seven’s “Say Yes”.

3) During Rick’s meeting with Jadis, we finally see the purpose of the Polaroids Rick had been taking of The Sanctuary and the outpost: To provide evidence of The Saviors’ downfall to The Scavengers.

4) Considering the fact that Hershel was both a farmer and a devoutly religious man, it’s rather ironic Gregory should call Maggie “The Shepherd” of The Hilltop and tell her she can’t let “the wolves” (i.e. The Savior P.O.W.s) in amongst the sheep.

5) Additionally, Gregory calling the Savior P.O.W.s “wolves” is ironic because the last time someone sought to spare the life of a “wolf” it also caused a dispute. In that instance, it was Morgan trying to protect Owen, leader of The Wolves, from Carol (back in Season Six’s “Start To Finish”), owing to his desire not to kill.
