The Walking Dead has reached the midseason finale. Here’s your first look and synopsis of the supersized “How It’s Gotta Be.”

This is it, folks. The season 8 midseason finale of The Walking Dead has arrived and it’s going to be a big one. With Rick on the move with the Scavengers, Carol rallying the Kingdommers, Maggie keeping things in line at the Hilltop and the Saviors with a new escape route, there’s no telling what is going to happen. All we do know is that it’s going to be one heck of a battle and one memorable episode.

Here’s the official synopsis of The Walking Dead episode 808 “How It’s Gotta Be” from AMC:

“Every story and battle from the first half of the season comes crashing together in this action-packed, emotional Mid-Season finale.”

“Action-packed” and “emotional” with a shocking moment sure to leave fans speechless. That’s one heck of a description. All of the action is coming together for this one episode, and while it’s not likely that All Out War will wrap up by the end of the midseason finale it does look like the action is going to hit a fever pitch with an ending that no one will see coming.

Everyone is spread out going into the midseason finale. Rick is with Jadis on the way to the Sanctuary and Daryl and Tara are nearby with Morgan and the snipers. Carol is still at the Kingdom with Ezekiel trying to rally the remaining troops. Aaron and Enid are off on their own. Maggie is at the Hilltop with a bunch of Savior POWs who can’t be trusted. Negan is itching to get back into the fight and now he has a way out.

It’s all a volatile powder keg with a match at the fuse, ready to ignite the explosion. Who will make it out alive?
