With the extended midseason finale airing soon, The Walking Dead Twitter account is warning fans to stay away from social media tonight.

If you aren’t watching the East Coast feed of The Walking Dead, be sure you stay away from social media until you watch the show. So says The Walking Dead’s Twitter account. From the sound of it, the season 8 midseason finale is starting with a bang and the action keeps going all the way through til the explosive ending. If you’re not watching live, stay off of social media.

Consider yourself warned: Something happens in tonight’s midseason finale that will blow your mind, and based on the social media warnings, there will be more than one mindblowing moment. The advice is to stay far, far away from social media until it airs where you are.

Here are the warnings from The Walking Dead’s Twitter account:

As you can see, we have every reason to believe that all of the hype about the episode is real. We’re not going to discuss spoilers, of course, but all fans of The Walking Dead know that the death count is usually high during the premieres and finales and the season 8 midseason finale will be no different.

Unlike the season 7 premiere, where we knew Negan was going to kill at least one person in the lineup, this feels a bit different because everyone is fair game at this point. Rick’s group has been separated and Negan’s Saviors are all over, too. There’s no clear sense of a threat from any side, so something will no doubt change quickly.
