Rick stops when he sees the face of the stranger Carl was attempting to help in the woods. Siddiq says ‘I brought him here’ to Rick, and the leader of Alexandria shifts his focus over to his son Carl sitting nearby.
Michonne follows Rick and they stand in front of Carl. Rick’s son tells his father about ‘it’ happening before peeling back a bandage to reveal teeth marks on his side, showing that he had been bitten by a walker before putting the bandage back on.
Sitting in silence, Rick is stunned. Michonne drops to her knees as tears begin to flow down her face. Looking at his father, Carl appears to be getting sweaty and sicker after saving the people from Alexandria while Rick moves in to get closer to his son.
The camera pans out and the sad music ends, finishing the scene.
