#1. Did The Saviors escape The Sanctuary?

At the end of episode 807, Rick Grimes climbed to the top of a water tower after earning the trust of The Scavengers only to discover that the walkers left to keep The Saviors inside were no longer there.

Daryl had used a cinderblock to crash a truck through the walls of The Sanctuary, and an idea from Eugene allowed Negan and his people to get out of the compound through a set of doors while killing walkers on both sides to get to the vehicles.

Eugene’s plan was never revealed in full to viewers of the show and just what Negan was going to do in order to gain revenge on Rick and the people from Alexandria, The Hilltop, and The Kingdom were also kept under wraps.

Having a huge threat like Negan and The Saviors out when Rick was away presented some major problems that were the theme of the episode and sent a huge chain of events into motion during the midseason finale.
