The most memorable scene from the 100th episode of The Walking Dead was when Jesus proclaimed that the Hilltop stands with Maggie.

Negan thought he could send the group running when they saw Gregory standing with him at the Sanctuary. What he didn’t count on was that the people of the Hilltop haven’t looked to Gregory for leadership in a very long time. Maggie has been quietly leading and making decisions for the greater good of the community since her arrival, setting an example for everyone even after suffering such a tremendous personal loss.

From her humble origins on The Walking Dead as Hershel’s somewhat sheltered daughter, to one of Rick’s most trusted companions and a true leader in her own right. Maggie has seen a lot and has suffered the loss of her father, sister and husband in a very short span of time. Maggie has been an inspiration for the people at the Hilltop and even as she fights through her first trimester, she’s showing everyone that everyone can pitch in and fight. The fact that Jesus is so quick to proclaim her as the leader suggests that this is something that has been discussed amongst other residents of the Hilltop.
