The Walking Dead new photos from the mid-season premiere

EW has new photos of The Walking Dead mid-season premiere and it looks like the episode is going to be a tear jerker as everyone says goodbye to Carl.
EW released several new exclusive photos from The Walking Dead mid-season premiere that is coming up in February. Fans have had mixed reactions to the mid-season premiere because of Carl’s impending death.
And from the photos that EW released it looks like the mid-season premiere is going to be as emotionally devastating as fans were afraid of.
In what is probably the most emotional of the new photos Carl is seen lying on a litter in the tunnel with Michonne and Rick at his side.
That brings up lots of questions. Will Carl go back to Alexandria to try and save the letters he wrote to his family? Or will he slowly get sicker and sicker until he succumbs to the virus in the tunnel? No matter how it goes down Carl’s death is going to be one of the biggest, and saddest, moments in the entire series.
What’s Going On With The Others
After that shocking reveal in The Walking Dead mid-season finale a lot of questions were left unanswered. The new photos released appear to show some answers to those questions. One photo show Morgan and Carol together, probably outside of The Kingdom.
Maggie is shown in her office at The Hilltop with Gracie in a crib nearby. Does that imply that Simon and The Saviors backed off as she demanded in order to save The Savior prisoners at Hilltop?
In the mid-season finale Maggie executed a Savior and sent his body to Simon with a warning that if The Saviors didn’t leave The Hilltop alone she’d execute all of the prisoners. But Simon doesn’t seem like the kind of leader that is going to give up control in order to save other people.
Daryl is shown in one photo standing a pool of water with his crossbow. He still has his vest back so it’s safe to assume that whatever goes down Dwight isn’t going to get the jump on Daryl. Daryl’s not giving up his vest again. But will he ever accept Dwight as part of the group?
An Emotional Goodbye
Whatever is coming in The Walking Dead mid-season premiere will pale in comparison to saying goodbye to Carl. It’s sure to be a difficult episode to watch but remember TWD Family – we survive together.
