As Walking Dead fans get ready to say goodbye to Carl Grimes, Chandler Riggs speaks out about his time on the show at Walker Stalker Con Portland.
It’s going to be hard to say goodbye to Chandler Riggs’ Carl Grimes on The Walking Dead. Riggs talked to fans about his time on the show at day one of Walker Stalker Con Portland on January 13.
Seeing Chandler Riggs with his short hair is a stark reminder that The Walking Dead fans are going to be faced with Carl’s loss when the show returns in February. However, fans who were able to attend his panel at Walker Stalker Con in Portland had a chance to hear him talk about everything from how he reacted upon landing the role of a lifetime to how he things Negan will react when he hears what happened to Carl.

Riggs notes that he was dropping hints in his performance about Carl’s fate, though not many fans picked up on it because his death seemed to come out of nowhere. Carl’s death certainly isn’t canon, leaving some fans to wonder what can possibly happen next.
As for Riggs, the future after The Walking Dead is looking bright after recently dropping a new song and making plans to attend upcoming Walker Stalker Cons. As with all cast departures from the show, thankfully it’s never really a goodbye because we still get to see the actors at fan conventions.
