Danay Garcia confirms return to Fear the Walking Dead
Fans of Fear the Walking Dead haven’t seen Luciana around for quite a while, but actress Danay Garcia confirms her character’s return on social media.
After Luciana walked away from Nick Clark at Broke Jaw Ranch back in the middle of season 3, she slipped away into the night and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. But rest assured, Fear the Walking Dead fans, that Luciana is coming back in season 4. Danay Garcia confirmed the news on social media today!
Danay Garcia posted a picture of herself wearing a Fear the Walking Dead hat confirming that Luciana is alive and well in season 4. Garcia posted the following message to her fans: “To those of you who keep asking…Let me make it official. I’m living La Vida Loca in the apocalypse. #Luciana #thisishappening #amc @FearTWD See you April 15th on AMC. #SundayFunday”
This is welcome news considering that so many of the show’s characters were left in limbo after the dam exploded in the season 3 finale. The only member of the Clark family that we know survived is Madison Clark (Kim Dickens). We can safely assume Nick (Frank Dillane) and Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) survive, as well as Strand (Colman Domingo). But other than that, it’s not clear.
There’s a long history of characters wandering off in the Walking Dead universe. Heath hasn’t been seen since episode 706 of The Walking Dead, while fans spent much of Fear the Walking Dead’s third season wondering where Ofelia Salazar had gone. Ofelia was barely back before she was bitten by the infected and died right before her father could be reunited with her.
Fear the Walking Dead is going to be very different in season 4, with a new filming location in Texas and the characters making their way from the Southern California border to the Texas border, along with new showrunners in Andrew Chambliss and Ian Goldberg (Once Upon A Time), lots of new faces and Walking Dead czar Scott M. Gimple overseeing it all.
Fear the Walking Dead returns on April 15 on AMC.
