The good folks at Skybound once again provide the TWD Family with 2018 Oscar-themed posters featuring The Walking Dead characters. Take a look!

It’s time for the granddaddy of awards shows – the Oscars – and that means it’s time for movie posters from Academy Award films featuring characters from The Walking Dead. In the first installment we have Maggie representing the Hilltop in I, Maggie.

I, Maggie is a sendup of the Tonya Harding story, I, Tonya, featuring actress Margot Robbie in the title role. Tonya Harding, as you might recall, was the bad girl of the figure skating world and when skating’s sweetheart Nancy Kerrigan was attacked all eyes were on Harding because her boyfriend was the one who did it. Harding was banned from skating and lost the opportunity to skate at the Olympics. Margot Robbie is nominated for Lead Actress for her performance.

In this case, the poster for I, Maggie is a tribute to the steadfast leader of the Hilltop. “Zombie Weekly” calls the movie “a triumph” while Gregory calls it the “most spectacular performance of Margaret’s life” before asking the real question: “Can you guys let me out of this cage now?” Silly Gregory.

The 2018 contenders in the Best Picture race include Call Me by Your Name, Darkest Hour, Dunkirk, Get Out, Lady Bird, Phantom Thread, The Post, The Shape of Water and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Many of these Best Picture nominees feature nominations in multiple categories, including the lead actor and actress categories.

More from Undead Walking

We can only assume that we’ll see more of these Walking Dead mashup posters leading up to the March 4 Academy Awards presentation on ABC.
