There’s a new fan convention circuit debuting this year in Sacramento, and it will be another opportunity for fans to connect with The Walking Dead cast.

These days it seems like there is a comic convention or fan fest every weekend during con season, with regularly scheduled Walker Stalker Cons sprinkled throughout the year. The newest comic convention debuts this June and promises “a new type of comic con” and offers another opportunity for fans to connect with a few members of The Walking Dead cast. The inaugural Fandemic Tour kicks off June 22-24 in Sacramento, California, at the Sacramento Convention Center.

The Fandemic Tour is brought to you by the good folks who used to run Wizard World Comic Con back in the day. Fandemic Tour offers celebrity appearances, photo ops, exhibitors, cosplay and pop culture celebrities and professionals. It’s not immediately clear how the Fandemic Tour is different than other fan fests or cons, but the people running it have years of experience and will no doubt be able to provide a fun experience for attendees.

One of the more noteworthy aspects of this brand new convention is that it has attracted some big time celebrities to the event. At this point, the celebrities scheduled to appear include Norman Reedus, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Michael Rooker, Sean Gunn, Milo Ventimiglia, Dave Bautista and Sean Patrick Flanery. Having multiple actors from The Walking Dead and Guardians of the Galaxy franchises is not bad for a brand new convention, and having one of the stars of This Is Us is a great addition given the award-winning show’s popularity.

The Fandemic Tour could provide a great opportunity for The Walking Dead fans to connect with the cast in other venues if there is no Walker Stalker Cons nearby. It’s definitely worth looking at.

According to the Fandemic Tour website, the show will move to Houston, Texas on September 14-16.
