#2: Have a counter-invasion protocol.

I know I say this a lot, but, it really is a smart idea to plan for worst-case scenarios like a hostile invasion.

You see, if your group already has an idea of what to do, where to go, and what each person’s role is should such a thing happen, it makes the likelihood of an effective response that much higher. You can never rule out that an invasion can happen, so, your group should be thoroughly prepared in case one does.

This means, you should have hidden weapon caches in or maybe even around your base, a secret escape route or a place for your group to reunite at in case you’re scattered, or, in an absolute worst-case…a self-destruct plan to make sure the invaders never make it out of your base.

Whatever you choose to do, you should have that plan in your back pocket before the hostiles come to knock down your door. If you wait for the invasion to happen before planning for it…it’ll be too late.
