The trailer for The Walking Dead mid-season premiere shows the group reunited at The Hilltop and The Saviors have no idea what this group can do.

After a long period of separation the core group will be reunited on The Walking Dead. The trailer for the Walking Dead mid-season premiere shows that group reuniting at The Hilltop after The Saviors burned Alexandria down.

Fans have been waiting for what seems like ages to see the entire group reunited again. When this group stands together they are a force to be reckoned with. And it’s safe to assume that if The Saviors haven’t figured out yet how much of a threat the group is they’ll realize it now.

Carl’s death is sure to rock the entire group, especially Rick and Michonne. Rick’s never really been in a position where he had nothing left to lose. But that’s the position he’ll be in when Carl is gone. Of course he still has Michonne, but he and Michonne both know that either of them could die at any point.

And even though Rick looks on Judith as his daughter he knows that biologically she isn’t. He will never have the same love for her that he had for Carl. Now that Rick has lost Carl he will come back to the fight with a savage edge that he hasn’t had before. That savagery, combined with the drive and skill of Maggie, Carol, Daryl and Michonne, mean that The Saviors are in for the fight of their lives.

Ending The Fight

Right now All Out War is pretty much a draw. Rick, Ezekiel, Maggie and their communities hit The Saviors hard at The Sanctuary and the outposts. But Negan retaliated just as hard against Alexandria and the other communities.

So now the final battle that will decide the whole war is poised to begin. All of the heavy hitters from the alliance will gather at The Hilltop to plan a final attack that could bring Negan down for good. After the first strike on The Sanctuary by the alliance Negan probably thinks he has a pretty good idea of the strengths and weaknesses of the various communities.

But since he’s never face Rick and the others like this he’s probably going to underestimate their fighting and strategic abilities. It’s true that The Saviors still have more people than the alliance, especially after the heavy losses that The Kingdom suffered. But those numbers aren’t as high as they used to be. And Carol, Daryl, Morgan and Jesus are pretty efficient killers when they need to be.

More from Undead Walking

Rick and the others are still quite capable of winning All Out War and it will be exciting to see how the group rallies at The Hilltop and what type of attack they mount against Negan and The Saviors. When Team Family fights together they can vanquish any enemy.
