After Sherry freed Daryl and ran from The Sanctuary it was unclear what happened to her. That opens the door to a spinoff based on her fight to survive alone, and potentially could bring in other communities and other parts of The Walking Dead world that haven’t been shown before. But what really makes Sherry a character that could carry her own spinoff is that she is very strong but hasn’t lost her humanity.

The note she left for Dwight shows that she still very much remembers who she was in the world before, and is very aware of what she’s become. It would be interesting to see her continued evolution and see where she ends up.

She’s definitely strong enough to survive in that world on her own. She routinely stood up to Negan and even after everything that happened she refused to cower in front of him or abandon her principles. She set Daryl free and ran on her own rather than stay as part of his harem. Sherry has an inner strength that makes her definitely capable of surviving and thriving even though she would probably always regret what happened at The Sanctuary and the deal she made with Negan to save Dwight’s life.
