AMC has released synopses for the second half of season 8 and though they are short, they do provide some insight into what we can expect in 8B.

There are less than two weeks to go before the mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead and we have been given numerous teasers, promo spots poking fun at the Olympics and now AMC has given us an episode synopsis for each episode in 8B, even though we only have titles for episodes 809 and 810. Let’s take a look at those synopses and what they might mean for the rest of season 8.

809, “Honor”: Rick faces new difficulties after a battle; the fight continues in other communities as core members face hard decisions.

810, “The Lost and the Plunderers”: “Groups unite their forces and converge on the Hilltop; Aaron and Enid search for allies; Simon takes matters into his own hands.”

811, “Daryl finds himself in bad company as his group heads to the Hilltop; Maggie makes difficult decisions at the Hilltop; Gabriel’s faith becomes tested.”

812, “Hilltop’s leadership faces a difficult dilemma after the arrival of unexpected visitors; Rick comes face to face with an adversary.”

813, “Trouble arises when unexpected visitors arrive at the Hilltop and the community is thrust into action; heartbreaking discoveries are made.”

814, “A Heaps prisoner makes a discovery; Carol searches for someone in the nearby forest; Rick and Morgan find themselves in the company of strangers.”

815, “With the threat of the Saviors still looming, Aaron continues searching for allies; Daryl and Rosita take action and confront an old friend.”

816, “The communities join forces in the last stand against the Saviors as all-out war unfolds.”

Though these are but tiny snippets of information about what we can expect (or hope) to see this season, these synopses confirm that the action is moving to the Hilltop and everyone will be rallying to protect the community like never before.

There’s also “confirmation” of a sort that All Out War won’t be wrapping up any time soon, and will presumably continue through the season finale.

We also learn that Aaron is still going strong in episode 815, despite the fact that the last time we saw him he was in hot water in Oceanside after Natania’s death. That he’s out searching for allies tells us he’s alive and the community is trying to find new people to join them.
