Fans of The Walking Dead should be very interested to see what kind of projects come to Amazon thanks to an exclusive deal with creator Robert Kirkman.

For many fans of The Walking Dead, their only real exposure to the franchise is the hit AMC zombie drama television series featuring Rick Grimes, Daryl Dixon, Michonne, Maggie, and the rest of the survivors of the apocalypse.

However, there is a lot more to what the franchise offers. Shows like Outcast and Fear The Walking Dead should come to the mind of fans as well as comic franchises such as Invincible and Battle Pope.

In 2017, it was announced that Robert Kirkman had signed a deal with Amazon to bring future projects as well as other Skybound properties to the streaming network. While this may seem like a strange move considering The Walking Dead is on Netflix and Fear The Walking Dead is on Hulu, Amazon opens up a lot of opportunities for Kirkman to flex his creative muscles.

The best examples of what Kirkman can do when not restricted by standard television boundaries can be seen when watching episodes of the Cinemax horror/drama series Outcast which centers around demonic possession and superhero comic franchise Invincible that is being made a feature film.

However, adaptations of other Skybound properties could be very interesting considering the success of comic book shows on streaming services. Seeing Green Valley, Slots, Kill the Minotaur, Gasolina, Redneck, Manifest Destiny, or any of the other titles could be very intriguing.

In addition to those existing Skybound properties, the idea of Robert Kirkman creating something new and original for Amazon could be even more appealing. Considering he has created amazing worlds involving zombies, demons, superheroes, and more, having him come up with another original property is very exciting.
