Khary Payton to play Dungeons & Dragons on Critical Role tonight
By Nir Regev
King Ezekiel himself, actor Khary Payton, will play Dungeons & Dragons on Critical Role series on Twitch tonight at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
Khary Payton will join acclaimed voice actor Matthew Mercer for a Dungeons & Dragons gaming session on his series Critical Role tonight on Geek & Sundry’s Twitch channel and Project Alpha. Payton will be the first guest star to join on Critical Role’s campaign 2.
Critical Role originally launched in 2015 and is based around voice actors indulging in Dungeons & Dragons each episode. For those who met Payton on the set of The Walking Dead, you might not realize King Ezekiel has voiced some of your favorite cartoon and video game characters. Payton’s voice can be heard on Teen Titans, G.I. Joe: Renegades, Star Wars: The Old Republic, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Batman: Arkham Origins, Resistance 2, Dead or Alive Dimensions and many, many more!
Previous guests on Critical Role include Talking Dead’s own Chris Hardwick and actor Joe Manganiello of True Blood fame. Manganiello has appeared on CelebriD&D last year. The show was nominated at the 2016 Streamy Awards in the Gaming category.
Each gaming session runs around 3 to 5 hours streamed live, and then archived immediately on Twitch and Project Alpha. This Payton episode will be available as a video on demand next Monday on Geek & Sundry’s Youtube and VRV.

Above is the live stream right from Twitch for tonight’s Critical Role Dungeons & Dragons gaming session with Khary Payton. We can only wonder if Shiva will make a cameo, at least maybe in the campaign.
All this time when Carol was trying to convince Ezekiel to come out, this was probably what he was doing when Jerry was guarding. Hey, everyone needs some off-tome now and then after a Savior ambush or two. What’s a few hours away from the aftermath of the Sanctuary plan?
