Known for playing Andrea on AMC’s The Walking Dead, Laurie Holden will be fighting the supernatural in the upcoming film Pyewacket from IFC Films.

There have been several cast members from The Walking Dead who have gone on to do some wonderful projects after or even during their time on the hit AMC zombie survival drama television series.

Whether talking about the other projects that Jon Bernthal, Danai Gurira, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, or numerous other cast members have been a part of, AMC’s show has helped to give talented actors more opportunities to shine.

Fans of The Walking Dead lost Andrea during season 3, but the actress playing her has gone on to do several films and shows including Major Crimes, The Americans, and an appearance on Chicago Fire.

Laurie Holden is just one of the stars of an upcoming IFC Films movie titled Pyewacket which is scheduled for release in select theatres, video on demand, and digital platforms on March 23, 2018.

Holden plays Mrs. Reyes in the movie, the mother of a teenage daughter who looks into the dark arts in order to seek some kind of resolution for her feelings after the death of her father.

Here is the full description of Pyewacket according to the IFC Films website:

"“When you’re dealing with demons, be careful what you wish for… In this ultra-unsettling occult nightmare, teenage Leah (Nicole Muñoz) finds solace from the recent death of her father—and from her strained relationship with her mother (Laurie Holden)—by dabbling in the dark arts. It all seems like harmless fun at first, until a blow out argument leads Leah to do the unthinkable: put a death curse on her mother. No sooner has the girl performed the ritual than she regrets it. But it may be too late, as an evil presence known as Pyewacket begins to make itself known—and threatens to destroy both mother and daughter.”"

The film is directed and written by Adam MacDonald and stars Nicole Muñoz, Chloe Rose, Eric Osborne in addition to Laurie Holden.
