The good stuff from TWD 810

  1. Showing concern for The Scavengers. Carl wanted everyone to be able to live together in peace and fight against the walkers. That part of the message may not have been lost on Rick, who went to the junkyard after the attack on Alexandria to make sure they are alright.
  2. Negan trusts his people. Listening to him talk about Arat and Gavin with the utmost confidence is something we don’t hear much on this show. It’s nice to see he has a structure in place, even if he was wrong to have so much faith in them.
  3. Keeping everyone in line. Confident and cocky Negan is great, but hearing him yell at Simon was attention-grabbing. Since he rules The Sanctuary with an iron fist, it is great to see that he’s got more than charisma and a reputation to hang his head on, and that includes intimidation and presence.
  4. Oceanside showing mercy. They could have easily killed Enid of Aaron to make an example of them. They had every right to do so after killing Natanya and taking their weapons earlier on. However, there is hope they can be allies if the relationship continues to develop.
  5. Jadis is just like Ezekiel. For her to lead her people the way they needed to and give them hope for a new world is exactly what King Ezekiel was doing at The Kingdom. After their death, she returned to being normal-ish, speaking normally and showing remorse for her failure.
  6. That was gross. Seeing The Scavengers getting all ground up in the trash disposal machine was both gross and awesome. This effect was very well done, particularly the walkers who entered sideways and bounced around a little bit. The ground up meat was both disgusting and sad, making the scene a huge success.
