Overall impression of TWD 810

As a whole, this was a very strong episode that told the story going on at numerous locations in the zombie apocalypse. The pacing of the story was quick and so many big storyline were resolved in a short period of time.

More from Undead Walking

The Walking Dead ended the narrative of The Scavengers in one of the most brutal of ways. Having The Saviors kill every single one of them after taking their guns and eventually seeing them ground up into hamburger was disturbing and fantastic at the same time.

Negan learning of Carl’s death was powerful as well. His plea to Rick was amazing and captivating and made it feel like Rick was getting manipulated again by the leader of The Saviors into making more mistakes.

Simon losing his cool and going against Negan’s wishes was interesting too. Since he’s already lost Gavin and things aren’t going well for them at this point of the war, having a loose cannon like Simon is exactly what The Saviors don’t need and could provide an opening for the survivors to use against them.

Aaron wanted to stay at Oceanside and investigate while hoping to get them to help out in the war against The Saviors, but considering everything that has happened to this point, it could be a major mistake at this point of time.

But looking at the episode, it’s hard not to be very happy with what was a full, action-packed, and emotional installment of the story that is very re-watchable. Episode score: 8.8/10
