On The Walking Dead last night there were some big surprises and big reactions. Here’s what fans thought about “The Lost And The Plunderers”

The most recent episode of The Walking Dead “The Lost And The Plunderers” changed the course of All Out War by taking out the group that both sides wanted. The Scavengers may have not been very trustworthy but they had numbers that both sides needed.

Simon went rogue and disobeyed Negan which Negan is definitely going to take personally when he finds out. Simon wiped out all of The Scavengers except for Jadis, who is now totally on her own. Jadis used her creativity to figure out a unique way to protect herself from the horde of walkers that used to be her people and made good use of the trash compactor. It was definitely one of the most gruesome mass kills that the show has done so far.

And Rick told Negan about Carl’s death, because Carl wrote Negan a letter that asked him to stop fighting just like he asked Rick to stop fighting. Rick could have just thrown away the letter but he’s determined to honor all of Carl’s last wishes, including delivering Carl’s goodbye message to Negan.

Negan found out that Carl is gone and he was genuinely upset by it. But he didn’t skip the opportunity to make Carl’s death even worse for Rick by telling Rick that it was all his fault that Carl was dead. Maybe Negan really does blame Rick, or maybe he’s just using the situation to his advantage by pushing Rick even further off balance. Fans had a lot of reactions to the first episode of The Walking Dead without Carl. Here are some of the best:
