Rick and Negan finally faced off on The Walking Dead but did they both make it out alive?

After a few darkly emotional episodes saying goodbye to Carl and losing The Scavengers The Walking Dead brought back the action as Rick battled Negan one on one while Simon plotted to turn The Saviors against Negan.

There were some fiery walker deaths in the dramatic fight between Negan and Rick but no major character deaths this week. Negan’s car had a fiery end, and Lucille is going to end up looking like Dwight’s face but the fight between Rick and Negan ended in a draw as Negan escaped.

At The Hilltop the group prepared for The Saviors arrival and Maggie was introduced to the leader of a new community. Even though the death count this week was low it looks next week will be the battle for The Hilltop and most likely there will be some significant deaths.

All Out War is swiftly heading towards a final battle. The may be the battle at The Hilltop or there may be one more battle coming. Rick drew first blood against Negan by setting Lucille on fire but Negan will definitely come back swinging, even if he’s not swinging Lucille due to her injuries.

Jadis As The Wildcard

At the end of the episode Negan is seen being driven in a car and held at gunpoint by Jadis. After Simon slaughtered all of The Heapsters Jadis is out for revenge. It would definitely be anti-climactic if Jadis killed Negan to get revenge for her people.

But more likely she will use Negan as a hostage to work out some kind of deal. Maybe she will turn him over to Rick to try and get Rick to allow her to join Alexandria. Or maybe she will return him to The Saviors. But after her last interaction went Simon it’s doubtful she’s going to want to have any dealings with The Saviors except to kill them.
