The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead will face off against each other in multiple categories, most notably as Younger Actors Alycia Debnam-Carey’s Alicia Clark faces off against Chandler Riggs’ Carl Grimes. Danai Gurira is going up against Melissa McBride in the same category, which is always tough Pitting Qale Walker from Fear against Negan in the same category is also an interesting choice given how drastically different those two characters are.

Whether Fear the Walking Dead can best its older AMC sibling is interesting, as the show is about to undergo some pretty drastic changes in season 4 that might be a gamechanger for future Saturn Award nominations.

The Saturn Awards are a celebration of the best and brightest in genres, with specific focus on science fiction and horror. Both of those genres are well-represented in popular culture movies and films but they’re seldom recognized in the mainstream awards shows. This is a chance for shows like The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead to really shine.

The 44th Annual Saturn Awards will be presented in June.
