Laura saw with her own eyes that Dwight has turned his back on Negan and The Saviors but still hasn’t ratted out the traitor on The Walking Dead.

Dwight not liking Negan is something fans of The Walking Dead can totally understand. There have been plenty of events that pushed him over the edge to the point that he would be willing to betray The Saviors.

In fact, losing his wife to Negan and having half of his face badly burnt would be enough break just about anyone, but Dwight was strong enough to get back on his feet and start plotting against the people from The Sanctuary.

While Dwight has done plenty of things that could have gotten him caught by The Saviors, the real incident came when Dwight led Negan’s group into a roadblock created by the people from Alexandria where Daryl, Tara, Rosita, and others killed several of the enemy soldiers.

After the gunfire died down, Dwight finished off one of The Saviors with his gun. However, he was caught by Laura, who shot him in the arm and was able to escape the situation and swear that she would report this back to The Saviors.

But she hasn’t. In fact, she hasn’t been seen at all. Dwight returned to Alexandria with their group but what happened with Laura has yet to be revealed.

We know for sure that Laura hasn’t reported back about what happened, otherwise Negan wouldn’t have trusted Dwight with part of the task of heading to The Hilltop to infect some of the residents there. And she hasn’t been seen in any of the background images, meaning she could still be on her way back to The Sanctuary. But what would take her so long?

If this is a situation that is never resolved, that would be a shame for viewers, but for now it a loose end. As Abraham Ford said in season 6 episode 6 titled ‘Always Accountable’: “Loose ends make my ass itch.”

Hopefully, there will be an answer to this question, but there is a chance it could join the group of situations that may never be revealed on the AMC’s The Walking Dead, joining the whereabouts of Heath and the origin of the outbreak…but hopefully this will be addressed in the coming weeks.
