On The Walking Dead episode 813, The Saviors assaulted The Hilltop and Twitter responded. Here are the best fan reactions to ‘Do Not Send Us Astray’.

The Battle for The Hilltop went down on The Walking Dead last night and while The Hilltop residents claimed victory it was an intense battle with some heavy losses on both side.

The Saviors used their tainted weapons on The Hilltop residents and the trick was quite effective, leading to a mass death and mass turning inside the plantation house after the battle. While fans were relieved to see Team Family reunited the war the against The Saviors isn’t over yet.

Dwight shot Tara in the back with an arrow, to save her from Simon putting a bullet in her, but it wasn’t clear if he had tainted his arrows or not so Tara’s fate is up in the air right now.

Tobin was stabbed by a Savior with a tainted weapon which caused him to get the fever, die and turn. Walker Tobin took out several Hilltop residents including The Kingdom’s doctor. Being a doctor is just as dangerous as being the moral compass on The Walking Dead apparently.

And there were some intense scenes between Maggie and Rick, who are now bonded in grief over their huge losses. Maggie is torn between her desire for revenge and her feelings of responsibility to the residents of The Hilltop who look to her to lead them and keep them safe.

Their emotional interaction was a good reminder that while a lot of time has passed for us, in the show it’s only been a few weeks since the murders of Glenn and Abe. And of course, fans had a lot to say about that grief and about the battle. Here are some of the best fan reactions to The Walking Dead ‘Do Not Send Us Astray’:

Next: Was TWD episode 813 any good?

Even though it’s clear that both Rick and Maggie felt some responsibility for a large number of Hilltop residents that didn’t survive this episode, they’re both still mad as hell and ready to finish this fight. With only three episodes left this season, it looks like the remaining episodes are going to take the intensity to a new level as All Out War finally reaches a conclusion.
