On tonight’s Walking Dead we find out what Jadis will do to Negan back at the junkyard and how Eugene’s bullet factory is doing…

After it appeared the Saviors were outmatched on the Hilltop last Walking Dead episode, Simon got the last laugh. They went through with Negan’s original plan, aimed to maim with the walker virus rather than take out opposition. In the dead of night, the injured rose reanimated with their zombie brethren in a chaotic frenzy of horror-tinted confusion.

Both sides are fresh out of ammo but paranoid about the other side’s potential reserves. The captured Saviors mostly fled Hilltop after Henry’s revenge went wrong amid the anarchy with the exception of a select few hoping to join Maggie’s cause. Hilltop could use all the help they can get with resident after resident downed by the walker awakening.

On tonight’s Walking Dead, we go back to the junkyard where Negan has been placed in chains by Jadis. He’ll likely plead his case that he had nothing to do with the slaughtering that ended Jadis’ people. Negan seems like the type to be upfront that he told Simon to take out one as a statement but that’s it. Whether that will satisfy Jadis remains to be seen. It’s unclear if she’s looking for simple retribution for her people or use Negan as a bargaining chip with Rick.

Nevertheless, Jadis is also unaware of Negan losing the confidence of his top lieutenant Simon. It’ll be difficult for Negan to make his case with the entity of The Scavengers wholly eliminated. However, if she were to take Negan out to avenge her people, she remains alone afterwards. Which is why the use of a bargaining chip with Rick seems all the more likely if Jadis feels the need for a group. Jadis seemed to genuinely want to join Rick upon his last visit to the junkyard, not just to escape. Let’s not forget she once offered to “lay with Rick” before the initial betrayal by the Scavengers.

At the end of the trailer for this week’s Walking Dead episode at the 0:26 mark we see Jadis, Lucille in hand, dragging a chained up Negan. Rick is suspicious of one of the saviors always trying to appeal to Maggie, asking to be told everything.

The good sheriff definitely has reason to be suspicious of changes of heart considering all the double crossings that have gone on with the Saviors and even seasons earlier with Terminus.

These lone Saviors could be looking for an angle to take out Rick’s last stand, his Hilltop Alamo, from the inside.

“Still Gotta Mean Something” Sneak Peek

As the group sets out to locate a possible bullet factory being run by Eugene, everything has come full-circle. Rosita originally asked Eugene to make a single bullet for her to take out Negan, and now her emotional choice could lead to the Hilltop’s destruction. If you look at the Youtube comments for the Sneak Peek there’s comment after comment discussing a fan theory Eugene potentially creating faulty ammo. While not out of the realm of possibility, it seems unlikely considering how helping Father Gabriel ended up. They lost their doctor, and Father Gabriel was simply returned to Sanctuary.

Eugene however, is a man who looks for himself. If he senses Negan is not around and Simon’s running the show, he could leave for perceived greener pastures. Meaning, Eugene could feel that Rick has the upper-hand and he’s better off squaring things with his former “traveling companions.”
