The Walking Dead, Do Not Send Us Astray: Things To Note

FINALLY!! The Walking Dead has brought us the battle they’ve been teasing since the second half of the season began!! So much happened in this episode, it can only be covered with Things To Note!!

It took a while, but, it feels like we finally got an episode of The Walking Dead that really felt like it belonged in a storyline called “All Out War”! Honestly, I’ve probably enjoyed this episode more than most of the rest this season!

After four episodes of teasing it, the long-awaited battle for Hilltop arrived. We had Simon ignoring Negan’s intentions, Dwight’s warnings, and Al’s pleas for peace and attempt to massacre Hilltop anyway. We had The Alliance fight back, successfully repelling the attack, with plenty of action from Maggie, Daryl, Carol, Michonne, and Rick, to name a few. Henry’s story got an interesting wrinkle as he attempted to avenge Benjamin, but to no avail. And, last, but not least, we got some good walker action, with some sad turns and horrific attacks on the living. All in all, this was a damned good episode.

Of course, with an episode like this, so crammed with content, some of that content may fly under the radar a bit. If we’re too focused on the battle going on, or people turning, we might just overlook the little details.
