1) Morgan sees a ghost of Gavin as the episode begins (And, as it would turn out, throughout the episode). This is the first “ghost” we’ve seen in the show since Tyreese saw the ghosts of Beth, Bob, Lizzie, Mika, The Governor, and Martin back in Season Five’s “What Happened And What’s Going On”.

2) Gavin’s ghost still bears the wound in his neck from where Henry killed him. This is reminiscent of Martin’s ghost still bearing his wounds from being killed, in the aforementioned “What Happened And What’s Going On”.

3) In a funny coincidence, Gavin’s ghost, unlike the others mentioned, is dressed all in white, much like Lori’s ghost Rick was seeing throughout Season Three.

4) If Henry’s eagerness to join the fight isn’t enough foreshadowing that he’s going to do something foolish later in the episode, you need glasses.

5) Siddiq mentions that he was an EM (Emergency Medicine) resident prior to the outbreak. Does this mean he was at a hospital when the outbreak began? If so, I’d like to see how the beginning of the apocalypse was from his perspective.

6) We eventually learn that the female doctor we meet at the beginning of the episode is Dana, the doctor for The Kingdom. Despite being mentioned in earlier episodes, this is the first time we formally meet her.

7) This episode has a pretty major departure from the comics, wherein it was Negan who led the assault on Hilltop, instead of Simon.
