New details about final season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead
Telltale Games provided details about the final season of The Walking Dead game, including a time jump and clarification about Clementine and Lee.
It’s hard to believe that we’ve reached the end of Telltale Games’ wildly popular run of The Walking Dead. The good folks from Telltale Games were on hand at PAX East to share details of the final season with fans.
One of the biggest pieces of news coming out of the panel is that Lee and Clementine are different people, even though images released last week might suggest that they’re the same person. That said, there is the matter of the time jump that explains why Clementine looks much older than she was in previous seasons. Clementine is now watching over a child named AJ. Enough time has passed in the time jump that all AJ knows is the post apocalyptic world, which really brings things full circle because she was a child when the world fell apart.
AJ won’t be the only new characters in the game. There’s a dog named Rosie, old-guard Louis, “naive” Ten, and Violet, who seems well prepared to deal with the new world order. Will these new characters help or hinder Clementine on her journey?
Visually, the final season will match earlier seasons after the third season seemed to stray from the darker, gritty style seen in the comics.

Melissa Hutchinson, the voice actress who brings Clementine to life, notes that this final season is “bittersweet, and a little painful.” We all know that nothing is certain in the world of The Walking Dead, and this is absolutely true with Telltale Games.
