Alicia Clark

Alicia Clark is very much like her mother in some ways, although she sees Madison’s flaws very clearly. As the “good” child who excelled in school, had a good social life and lots of friends, and pretty much raised herself while Madison was preoccupied with Nick Alicia is used to taking care of herself. She has left her mother and Nick several times and always managed to survive on her own. At the ranch in season 3 she proved herself to be a pragmatic survivor like her mother who is capable of almost anything when it comes to fighting to survive.

Alicia has a softer side, which Madison doesn’t seem to have any longer. Her relationship with Jake Otto in season 3 showed that she hasn’t totally lost her idealism. But after years of dealing with the chaos and crisis that addicts leave in their wakes due to her brother Nick she is, like her mother, very equipped to deal with emotional upheaval and trauma. At the ranch she showed herself to be a rational leader that could negotiate conflicts and inspire people to work together.

Alicia and her mother don’t always see eye to eye, which is to be expected with a mother and daughter that are so similar, but Alicia loves her mother and her brother and will fight as hard as necessary to save them from any threat.
