Victor Strand

Victor Strand is a high stakes con man who can get himself into and out of any situation. There’s usually some collateral damage as a result of his dealings. But he and Madison forged a bond way back in season 1, when Victor helped Nick escape from a military quarantine camp. He took Nick, Madison, Alicia and the Salazars with him when he fled the rapidly crumbling city of LA as the outbreak began.

In Mexico it was revealed that Strand’s partner Thomas Abigail was the one funding Strand’s lavish lifestyle that included a luxurious safe house on the coast and the yacht that they all used to escape. Victor backed out of a suicide pact with Thomas after Thomas was bitten by a walker and he put Thomas down before he could turn.

Victor is charming, ruthless, and always looking for an angle to play in any situation. He and Madison are similar in some ways. And they understand each other perfectly. They are very good friends. Even when Strand has gone off on his own he always manages to find Madison again. And she’s saved him on more than one occasion from bad situations with people as well as with walkers.

Strand should never be underestimated. He will double and triple cross anyone necessary to get what he wants. But he is loyal to Madison and her kids. There may not be many lines he won’t cross, but he will do whatever it takes to survive and to protect the few people he cares about.
