Ross Marquand taking over The Walking Dead Instagram account
If you’re looking to have some extra fun while watching this week’s episode of The Walking Dead, you can join Ross Marquand as he takes over Instagram.
Move over Twitter Takeovers because it’s all about the Instagram Takeover these days and Ross Marquand will be taking over the official Walking Dead Instagram account (or IG or Insta account, as some say) this Sunday for the penultimate episode of the season.
Marquand, who brings Aaron to life on The Walking Dead, has been out looking for allies over the second half of season 8 and now that we’re one episode away from the season finale it’s time to check back in with Aaron as he tries to convince the women of Oceanside to join the fight against Negan and the Saviors.
To celebrate the big day, Marquand will be posting from The Walking Dead Instagram account (amcthewalkingdead) at 9 PM ET. Post along with him during the episode and be ready to laugh because Marquand loves to have fun.
When Marquand posted his impending Instagram Takeover on his account (rossmarquand) he got some good natured support in the comments from Walking Dead alum Michael Traynor (traynorland), who brought ill-fated dumpster-diving Nicholas to life:
Traynor: “Oh, who dis, @rossmarquand??? Well, this is “Awesome” calling…BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO BE WHEN YOU TAKE OVER THAT MO’FUGGIN’ INSTAGRAM!!!”
Marquand: “@traynorland – brotha…you complete me.”
Many fans on Instagram wondered if, like a seat on the couch on Talking Dead, this means that Aaron is going to die this week, but there’s no basis for that assumption. Pollyanna McIntosh (Jadis) took over the account last week and she’s alive and kicking.
Given the serious tone of the season and the impending finale, it’s nice to see the actors having fun on social media. We’re quite certain that fans who catch Ross Marquand on Instagram on Sunday will be in for a big treat!
