1) This episode begins with a flashback of Simon’s massacre of The Scavengers (From “The Lost And The Plunderers”), but from Jadis’s perspective.

2) Jadis playing dead to avoid Gary may be the first time we’ve seen someone do that since Karen (To avoid The Governor’s wrath) back in Season Three’s “Welcome To The Tombs”. What a coincidence that it was another massacre.

3) Jadis holding Negan prisoner is something of an amusing reversal, considering how many people Negan held prisoner (Daryl, Sasha, Father Gabriel) over these past two seasons.

4) Speaking of prisoners, Negan is the third major prisoner we’ve seen held by Jadis, the others being Father Gabriel and Rick.

5) Carol’s apparent belief in Henry’s demise (Or, as Ezekiel saw it, her unwillingness to believe in his survival) is likely a lingering scar from the loss of Sophia.

6) Seasons Three and Four seem to be getting a lot of shout-outs this season, the latest being Michonne referencing her time with Andrea in Season Three. This is the first time Andrea been mentioned since Rick referenced her to Morales in “Monsters”.

7) Negan’s apology to Jadis is very interesting, as it’s the first time (Well, second, if you count him apologizing for David last season) that we’ve seen a hostile leader A) Take responsibility for their underlings and B) Apologize for (Their henchmen, in this case) killing people.
