There were some amazing moments for The Walking Dead fans during Sunday’s events at Walker Stalker / Heroes and Villains Fan Fest 2018 in Chicago.

Day 2 of events at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois for Walker Stalker / Heroes and Villains Fan Fest 2018 offered many great opportunities for fans of The Walking Dead and other popular shows.

Just like on the first day, there were several panels, appearances on the Fan Fest Stage, performances, and more for those who love the undead as well as superheroes and other fandoms.

Here are just some of the highlights from Sunday at Fan Fest 2018:

Austin Amelio at the Fan Fest LIVE Stage

While viewers of AMC’s The Walking Dead only get to see how serious of a character Dwight is, Amelio was able to give fans a look at the more cheerful and humorous side of himself. While the LIVE stage event was only 15 minutes, it was enough time to be left charmed by the mole inside The Sanctuary.

Jay Bonansinga at the Fan Fest Live Stage

Known for writing the novels based on The Walking Dead, Bonansinga is a highly-regarded author who has done an amazing job bringing characters to life in the pages of the books. He also helped with the story for The Walking Dead: Road to Survival and wrote/directed/produced City of Men and Stash.

Gotham panel

I’ll be honest, I’ve never watched a single episode of Gotham. I’ve heard it’s good, but I basically wanted to see Robin Lord Taylor. Oddly enough, no questions were asked of him about his time on The Walking Dead or the film Accepted. Still, I had a great time watching Taylor, David Mazouz, and Drew Powell interact…making me think I should actually check the show out.

Carl and Enid panel

Chandler Riggs and Katelyn Nacon answered a lot of great questions from fans, including a hilarious interaction about the scene where they were roller skating down the road. In the crowd, I could hear fans saying that they were surprised how much they liked Nacon even though they weren’t huge fans of Enid. Meanwhile, Riggs was getting showered with love from fans who wished he wouldn’t have been killed off from the show. However, there was a proposal from a fan to his girlfriend during the panel, and she said yes!

Events I missed

  • Sicktionary – Watching Cooper Andrews, Jayson Warner Smith, and Alexandra Breckenridge take on 3 fans in a game of fandom Pictionary would have been fun, but I sadly had other obligations at this time.
  • Aisha Tyler on the FanFest Live Stage – She is a big fan of The Walking Dead and has been on Talking Dead, but I loved watching her on The Soup as well as Whose Line Is It Anyway?.
  • The Harp Twins – I could hear them playing Hotel California and Fear of the Dark on their harps while walking around the convention center, but it seemed like each time they were playing, I was either grabbing something to eat or waiting in line to see someone. Still, the music was awesome.
