Carl

Being the son of Rick Grimes isn’t easy. After being found by his father in the series premiere at a site outside Atlanta, Carl and his father endured a multitude of tests including a love triangle, surviving walkers, and fighting curiosity.

Carl quickly became a bit of a liability. His curiosity about the undead and unwillingness to stay in the house were concerning, but he also stepped up and did some hard things, like shooting his mother in the head after she gave birth.

Eventually, he grew up. He protected his father and other survivors in numerous instances and became a huge asset in the front lines of All-Out War against The Saviors, even creating a bond with Negan.

However, it was his compassionate nature that led to his demise. In an effort to help Siddiq eliminate walkers, Carl was tackled by walkers and couldn’t fight off them all. After being bitten in the side, he still managed to buy time at the gates of Alexandria to allow everyone to escape and write letters to his loved ones before shooting himself in the head to avoid coming back as a walker.
