Survival Sunday gave us two great episodes of AMC’s zombie dramas, but there was only one MVP from the season 4 premiere of Fear The Walking Dead.

Morgan’s journey on Sunday started with AMC’s flagship zombie survival drama series but continued as he made his crossover to Fear The Walking Dead for the big season 4 premiere episode.

Episode 401 titled ‘Wrath’ featured several new faces to the franchise as well as a huge time jump to accommodate the transition in time as well as reset the franchise to tell a different story as the survivors attempt to make their home in Texas.

However, there was only one character who deserved to be named the most valuable person from the season 4 premiere of Fear The Walking Dead. After much consideration, an individual was chosen!

The MVP from FearTWD episode 401 is Morgan Jones!

Let’s be honest here. If not for Morgan crossing over to the show, this could have been either of the new characters. Both John and Al are compelling additions to the show and deserve recognition for a great debut, but it’s hard to choose against Mr. Jones.

  • In one episode of the series, he did something he was struggling to do on the flagship series: co-exist with others and not worry about losing someone important to him when in the face of danger.

Not only that, but he found a kindred spirit in John and Al was able to get him to open up about his past and his feelings, even if it was only for a short while. His bond with those characters could be just what he needs to find himself again.

He still tried to help people, even though he was turned away by the injured man in the vehicle and stuck to his guns when it came to not killing people anymore. Despite being injured during a rooftop fight, he continued to press on and not falter in his journey or sway from his ideals.

The only real downside to Morgan’s adventures in episode 401 is that he was hurt and then seemingly captured at the end of the episode…but even though he faces those hardships, there was really no other choice.
