The bad things

  1. Kids are THE WORST! If you’re a survivor in the zombie apocalypse, stay away from kids. They’ll either get you killed or screw up your civilization. Sure, you need them if you want any hope of a long-term settlement, but it’s hard to put your faith in any young people after watching over 11 seasons of AMC zombie shows.
  2. Weevils are always a pain. It seems like these little buggers are always getting into the crops in The Walking Dead universe. Growing crops is a necessity in the apocalypse and working to avoid having those pests damaging your haul seems like a tough issue to overcome.
  3. Why is Nick afraid of the undead? Something happened between his time walking with the zombies and arriving at the baseball stadium to make him fear the walkers. He may not be talking about it, but I’m sure that’s something we’ll find out in the future…and hopefully, he won’t always be acting like he did when he went outside the gate.
  4. Trapping the undead. If a group has the ability to round up the walkers, they have the ability to eliminate them. What is the benefit of keeping them alive instead of killing them? And why count them? This is one technique that needs a lot more explaining.
  5. Using a kid as a plant. While a genius plan, putting the life of a young person in danger to gather intel about a new community seems like a great plan…unless that new community is full of awful people. It seems like a huge risk…provided The Vultures actually care about the kid.
  6. Nick’s confusing dam flashback. We all remember Nick blowing up the dam to hold off Proctor John and his men from killing everybody at the end of season 3, but the shaky scenes did little to explain why he feels the way he does.
