It’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s birthday and fans and friends have been sending love to the man who brings Negan to life on The Walking Dead.

“Happy birthday boss man! Much love!” was Steven Ogg’s birthday message to Jeffrey Dean Morgan on his 52nd birthday. While Negan and Simon had a bit of a falling out in season 8, there’s no question that the love remains between the two actors and buddies.

The birthday wishes for Jeffrey Dean Morgan have been pouring in across social media on April 22. From cast members on The Walking Dead to a touching message from his wife, Hilarie Burton, it’s clear that everyone has nothing but love for Morgan.

Take a look at some of those birthday wishes:

Morgan recently spoke about a desire to see more of Negan’s backstory, which would be a perfect subject for a spinoff from The Walking Dead. Negan has always been popular among comic book readers, and he’s a love him or hate him or love-to-hate-him figure on the show. Regardless, Morgan’s passion for his role and willingness to take on even more is wonderful to see.

Negan was captured by Rick and the other survivors during the season 8 finale of The Walking Dead, signaling a big change for the former leader of the Saviors as he becomes a prisoner. Rick and Michonne believe that keeping him alive will serve as an example for others, while Maggie, Daryl and Jesus believe that he should die for what he did.
