#5: Madison Is Cracking Jokes

Welcome to a whole new version of Madison Clark. Madison 2.0 is lighthearted. She cracks jokes. She helps others. She trusts.

The Madison of the past seems to be gone, but she drops hints throughout the episode about the road she traveled to get to where she is. That’s precisely why she is going to fight for her community. Whereas Madison was forced to play by Jeremiah Otto’s rules in season 3 in order to stay at Broke Jaw Ranch, now she has her own community and she’s calling the shots.

When we see Madison at the end of “Another Day in the Diamond,” the Vultures are still outside but she’s hammering away inside the dugout. She’s not going to let them intimidate her. Initially she was building a place for Charlie to live, but perhaps now this new room will be for Naomi, who has decided to stay with them.
