One character went above and beyond during season 4 episode 2 of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead titled ‘Another Day in the Diamond’ to be named the MVP.

Following up on the smashing success of Survival Sunday, Fear The Walking Dead switched gears to show fans a little bit of what some of the longer-tenured characters on the show have been up to since the explosion of the dam.

The popular AMC zombie survival drama series got a peek into how the survivors had been living in a baseball field before Morgan Jones made the jump to the companion series, but a new group of interesting antagonists was introduced as well.

Despite everything happening in season 4 episode 2, one character stood out as the most valuable person from ‘Another Day in the Diamond’ and deserves recognition. After a lot of consideration, a decision was made.

The MVP from FearTWD 402 is Madison Clark!

Let’s start out by saying that I’m not a big fan of Madison. Her character always seemed kind of cold and unlikable through much of the previous seasons, but for some reason, she felt different in this episode.

Madison actually had a sense of humor during this episode, joking around with Alicia and showing off a playful side when interacting with Charlie about some of her favorite and least favorite foods before the apocalypse.

However, that wasn’t what the biggest factor was in determining the MVP. Madison actually stepped up and acted like a leader as well as a mother, making me wonder what happened to bring out this version of the character.

The confidence in her voice and stern nature in dealing with The Vultures was exactly what we needed to see in a leader. Her desire to leave no person behind and protect those who have joined her community is something rare on AMC’s zombie shows and something to keep an eye on in the future.

Other characters who could have been named MVP for this episode were Alica for her quickness to tend to the situation with her mother and Mel for being an interesting, yet despicable antagonist.
