  1. The opening credits once again provided a hint about what to expect in the episode. The sky was filled with clouds, and the sun was hiding in the distance. The field we have seen the past three episodes was still cast in the same black and white tones, but this time the field was peppered with the same bluebonnet flowers Nick encountered, first with Madison and then on his own.
  2. Nick died while looking at the flowers he’d taken from the field. This time, though, it was a child who pulled the trigger, reversing the “look at the flowers” moment between Carol and Lizzie in The Walking Dead.
  3. Mel’s group is still camped outside of the ballpark and Mel greets Madison and Nick as they leave. He’s not threatening toward them. He lets them pass and even warns that there isn’t much out there…but there is, because they know where it all is.
  4. What’s the deal with Charlie knowing all of the “good stuff?” Where did she come from, and where are her loyalties? Now that Ennis is gone, where will she go? She can’t drive, so will she be able to get away or will our group find her?
