Review of Fear the Walking Dead 403: Good Out Here
Nick’s death was a shocking moment that will change the way we see things moving forward. He’s alive in the flashbacks but we know he’s dead in the present. It’s a bold decision to kill off a major character like that, but the idea that he lives on in the flashbacks is fascinating. Now we have to question those flashbacks. Who else is gone from the past? Where are Madison and Naomi?
Fear the Walking Dead has been getting stronger with every passing episode. While we’re not comparing one show to the other, because they are different shows, it is safe to say that this story is very fresh and intriguing and we’re eager to see where it goes in the end. The nice thing about Fear is that the show isn’t working within the comic canon, so there’s really no telling where we’re going and not knowing what’s going to happen is a huge part of the fun.

Fear’s new look is intriguing, too. The more we jump from past to present, the more we see that the past was bright and shiny while the present is dull and dark. The difference between then and now is reflected in the camera angles and even with the camera filters. The use of color and monochromatic filming is intriguing because it tells a story, too. Stylistically, Fear the Walking Dead season 4 has been absolutely stunning.
Fear the Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9pm on AMC.
