Filming for The Walking Dead season 9 has begun and photos from filming made their way to social media.

The Walking Dead season 9 started filming in Atlanta this week and fans are already buzzing with speculation after photos of many of the cast members appeared on social media.

Now that All Out War is finally over there has been a lot of speculation about where the story of Rick and the other survivors will go in the upcoming season. With new showrunner Angela Kang at the helm fans are excited to start a new era of the show and are looking forward to seeing more storylines and characters from the comic appear in the show.

There are rumors that comic villains The Whisperers will make their debut in season 9. But it also looks like there will be a time jump similar to the time jump in the comic that occurred after All Out War.

That would explain why so many of the characters were seen during the first week of filming riding horses and driving horse drawn wagons. It looks like the survivors are relying on actual horsepower instead of trying to find fuel for vehicles.
