1) Nick using a machete to clear the infested crops may be the first time we’ve seen in either Walking Dead show that a machete has been used for its intended purpose: Clearing vegetation.

2) The title sequence for this episode features a field of bluebonnets.

3) As Alicia passes Nick before she leaves to go find a truck, Nick reminds her to make sure Luciana comes back. This is the second time we’ve seen Nick say this to Alicia this season, the first being in last week’s episode, “Another Day In The Diamond”.

4) In a funny bit of continuity, Nick asks Morgan if he likes peanut butter, which Morgan confirms with a laugh. Morgan’s laughing because he’s thinking about his conversation with Michonne about stealing one of his peanut bars back in Georgia while dealing with the quarry herd in Season Six’s “First Time Again”.

5) Strand and Althea both ask each other good questions. Why, specifically, is Althea so interested in other people’s stories? And, what happened to Strand’s hand? Did The Vultures do that?

6) As Nick arrives at the field of bluebonnets, you can still hear the SWAT truck’s horn blaring in the background.
