The good stuff from FearTWD 404

  1. Cleaning up the mess. Luciana got closure by stabbing Nick in the head. Alicia took out the walker version of the man Nick killed. Strand covered the body and prepared it for burial. All this was captured on tape by Al.
  2. Having a reason to fight. Cat posters, books, and other human items may not be necessary for surviving but can help to make a situation of survival into one of living or possibly even thriving. Nick was right to take some of them from the library.
  3. Morgan and John’s conversation. These two are really a powerful duo. When they share moments on the screen, it really draws me in. Can John really be the one to bring Morgan back into a community? Or is this just a temporary stop for him? It’s interesting to see if this pair can help each other understand life while helping others.
  4. Nick wanting to help Charlie. It’s great that he bonded with her and still wants the best for her. He hopes to find more things to keep her happy because he thinks he can help give her a good life. This is the mark of a genuinely good person and shows just how far Nick came since stealing morphine from a dying man.
  5. Learning the story of Ennis and Mel. It’s easy to look at bad people as being bad. It’s when we try to put of face and story to those people when things get complicated. Finding out about their past starts to humanize the ‘villains’ from this season and complicate feelings toward them, creating a better story.
  6. Madison being a good leader. Giving praise and listening to ideas from others is proof that Madison has come a long way since barking orders at her kids and leading people into danger. Let’s just hope she’s actually around in the current timeline to keep leading.
